Educational Background: BSc. Honors, University of Guelph, Biomedical Science and French Studies; PhD, University of Ottawa, Cellular and Molecule Medicine

Research Project: Develop gene therapy strategies to prevent vision and hearing loss in Ushers Syndrome

Research Interests: How gene therapy can be used to preserve vision; how understanding the regenerative abilities of amphibians can be applied to prevent disease and degeneration; how to better educate medical students and residents by employing surgical and simulation focused curriculum

Career Ambition: Contribute to the scientific community and help to prevent disease, specifically blindness and hearing loss. Continue educating medical students at Harvard Medical School, develop new curriculum and direct courses
