Khan Maola, PhD

Title: Senior Scientific Associate

Educational Background: Khan Maola worked as a postdoctoral scientist with Prof. Ben Davis in the University of Oxford, UK. He worked on site-selective protein modification. Previously he worked as a scientist in École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, EPFL, Switzerland with Prof. Christian Heinis and developed bicyclic peptide against therapeutic target. He received his PhD under supervision of Prof. Hiroyuki Osada on Chemical Biology from RIKEN, Japan. During his PhD, he discovered a natural product inhibitor, juniferdin, against protein disulphide isomerase. He graduated on Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh.
